MIAM MIAM organizes aphrodisiac cooking courses bec ause there exists an undeniable connection between the pleasures of the table and the bed. To quote the highly respected reference work Encyclopedia Britannica :”The combination of diverse sensory reactions, the visual satisfaction when looking at appetizing food, the olfactory stimulation of agreeable smells and the tactile satisfaction gained from the act of eating rich and tasty dishes, tends to create a state of euphoria generally favorable to sexual excitement.”
Not bad for the people who invented the phrase “no sex please, we're British”. If the English say it themselves ...

On the Miam Miam spice course we study the 15 principal aphrodisiac spices, some to warm up the men, some to awaken the woman. A little coriander is particularly stimulating in wine or jasmine to flavor liqueurs. For men cloves are one of the strongest aphrodisiac spices and also work wonders for the memory. The three types of mustard (black, white and Indian yellow) much prized in the Middle Ages Nutmeg, man's best friend. Indonesian oregano which makes you “amok”. Saffron is a stimulant for the erogenous zones but use it in moderation, it can cause incontrollable laughter. Thyme stimulates the nerves and purges the body. The delightful vanilla pod which with its taste and smell act on the central nervous system and promotes sexual excitement, we could go on...

In fact sex mobilizes all the senses, sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and it's why since Antiquity, before the little blue and yellow pills were available, we used strong perfumes containing hormones and musk. Remember however that your brain is your real ‘central control'. Be imaginative; create the optimum conditions for your love making. Ps Man has always searched for precious things, talismans, drinks, herbs, medicine and perfumes to stimulate the human libido. Here is a little list:
Food: anchovies, oysters, caviar, liquorices, hot peppers, curry, chocolate, frog legs, truffles, asparagus spears, hazel nuts, strawberries and red rose petals.
Drinks: infusions based on arginine, maidenhair tree (gingko), ginseng, yohimbine.
Don't forget the role of folklore: musk, rhinoceros horn, bears spleen, stages horn and of course chocolate.
As for alcohol it helps if you are shy, but a stronger dose will prevent an erection.
Scents: hormone based or musk
Medical treatments: papaverine, prostaglandine E1, Viagra (Sildenafil), Cialis the little yellow pill which has replaced the little blue pill because it works for a long time, testosterone, bromocriptine, DHEA.
Spices: garlic, celery, cloves, coriander, ginger, horseradish, jasmine, mustard, nutmeg, oregano, cayenne pepper, saffron, thyme, vanilla.

In fact love use all six senses and the most important thing is what is inside your head , the communication between you and your partner.

Miam Miam (Yum Yum) is a cooking school based in south of France near Montpellier. Every weekend we organise cooking classes dedicated to herbs and spices in French or in English.
You will learn there cooking tips about 80 herbs and spices, spice by spice, French and various cuisines (15 minutes tasty and healthy light recipes), French wines of Languedoc (below 10 euros) and discovery of the region in the Magellan course.
A spice cooking course is a unique gift idea that works in any occasion: as a holiday gift, but also a birthday gift or Christmas gift.
