IN FRANCE, HOME TO ROMANCE AND GOOD FOOD, WE SAY THAT SPICES ARE TO COOKING WHAT MAKE-UP IS TO WOMEN !

<u>Combine the discovery of Cevennes</u> (south of France, near Montpellier), <u> with a culinary workshop

on how to use 40 spices in your everyday light recipes.</u>

This unforgettable gourmet gift will change forever the way you cook... herbs and spices!

In addition, you’ll learn about French wines form the Languedoc region.

YOUR FRIENDS WILL BE THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED WHEN YOU SHOW THEM HOW TO USE THESE SPICES.

There won’t be much talking : you’ll touch, you’ll smell, you’ll taste, you’ll use the spices ... and then you’ll eat the result !

Most recipes take less than 15 minutes to prepare !

- IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE AREA :

the course is based on spices only, and cooking classes are held in Aulas, from 2:.. PM to 10:00 PM on Saturdays afternoons, in a beautiful 17th century family house. Classes are followed by gourmet dinner in the house gardens.

- IF YOU AREN’T IN THE AREA :

cooking classes start on Thursdays evenings, at 7:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM on Sundays afternoons.

The training combines discovering yhe region (nice walks, shopping for spices in nearby Montpellier, tasting fine wines from the Languedoc region, discovering the famous bouillabaisse near Bouzigues) with learning how to use 40 spices in your every day light recipes.

.

We can arrange to pick you up at the train station in Montpellier (a 3 and a half -hour TGV ride from Paris). Also, we can arrange for accommodation in beautiful guest-houses such as Chateau de Mareilles.

<u>SHORT HALF-DAY SESSIONS ON SATURDAYS AFTERNOONS</u> :

The session will be conducted in 4 stages, ending with gourmet dinner, so that you can actually savor the fruit of your labor.

- 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm :

introduction to spices : how to choose them ? where to buy them ? How to store them ?

- 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm :

culinary class : how to transform simple food such as salad, potatoes and rice in gourmet food by using spices ? Once you learn how to cook simple everyday food, you’ll become an expert with real recipes ! And you’ll actually prepare a few for dinner.


5:00 pm to 6:00 pm :

questions & answers session : ask me how to improve 3 dishes you cook on a regular basis barbecue, soup, pasta, vegetables.

6:00 pm :

culinary class : we prepare dinner.

Your husband (or wife) is welcome to join us at 8 pm if he or she didn’t attend the session (dinner is optional).


<u>PRICE</u>


ACCOMMODATION IN GUEST-HOMES IN THE AULAS VICINITY.

120 euros per person, including dinner and drinks

Expert Course (3-day Magellan course) :

480 euros per person, including meals drinks and accommodation. 220 euros for your spouse . Bouillabaisse or sea food dinner and visits are extra (60 euros per person)

Transportation for local sight seeing : 60 euros ses previous paragraph


The Spouse Fee allows class’s attendance or joining in for meals and visits.

<u>Upon request</u> discovery of the wines of the Languedoc region (very good and affordable, under 10 euros a bottle).

We can also arrange for sightseeing in the vicinity or for visits in antiques shops (auctions sometimes).

.

A minimum of 6 persons is required for culinary classes to be conducted in English.

<u>Directions to Aulas</u>

By TGV (High Speed Train) : Montpellier is a 3 and a half-hour ride from Paris.

By Plane : Choose the Montpellier airport.

Uppon arrival in Montpellier, take either a cab or rent a car. We can alsa arrange for group pick-ups.

By car : Aulas is close to Le Vigan, Nimes, Montpellier and Millau.

If you are driving from Paris, take the Central France Highway (Clermont-Ferrand).

If You are already in the South of France, take the Nimes West exit or come from Montpellier.
